Before using your marble, quartzite or granite countertops, you must apply a sealer for natural stones, annually for granite and biannually for quartzite and granite.

Normal maintenance:

Use our recommended COUNTER KLEEN All Purpose Cleaner or other specific cleaner for marble, quartzite or granite countertops.

MARBLE, QUARTZITE or GRANITE kitchen or bathroom counters require special attention.

Here are some RECOMMENDATIONS TO REMEMBER:

Coasters : Place glasses (especially those containing juice, wine or alcoholic beverages) on coasters to prevent dark circles and stains.

Damage (spills, splashes): SPONG with a paper towel. Do not wipe to avoid spreading further. Spray with water and mild soap, then rinse thoroughly. Dry with a soft cloth. Repeat as needed.

Products containing LEMON, VINEGAR or other ACIDS may frost the surface or leave streaks. (Ex .: Biological detergent, dish soap or multi-purpose homemade or commercial cleaner)

SCRUB POWDERS AND CREAMS contain abrasives which may scratch the surface. Ex .: Vim, Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, SOS Buffers, etc. Products based on oil (petroleum) or ammonia are also to be avoided. Ex.: All window cleaners (Windex, Ajax, Spic & Span, etc ...)

RUST REMOVER PRODUCTS AND BOWL CLEANERS can also cause stone damage.

DAILY Recommendations:

1. Avoid cutting food directly on the surface of your counters as you risk scratching the surface in addition to spoiling the blade of your knives. Use a cutting board.

2. Although marble, quartzite, or limestone countertops can sometimes be polished once scratched or stained, damage of this nature is excluded from any warranty.

3. Do not place hot glass dishes (eg pyrex, corning ware) directly on the counters otherwise your dishes may burst. Use a trivet.
